Enough's Enough!  I was raised a Roman Catholic until I was old enough to make my own decisions and not blindly follow someone else.  How many Northerners out there like the Yankees or Giants or Jets because my dady or granddaddy did?  What has irked me lately is the proliferation of offensive religious bumper stickers floating around on mommy vans lately.  Those ubiquitous "I believe" stickers are fine.  I believe too.  Just not the bible. So what?  Then there's "Got Jesus?'  No, but if you, fine.  I believe that's called kidnapping, though.  Whatever.  Your life.  My problem is these self-righteous, self-important, holier-than-thou people with their "marriage=man+woman"  stickers.  Who are you?  Who are you to say that same sex marraige is wrong because your book of 2,500 year old fables makes references to it being wrong?  I am friends with quite a few gay people, just as nice and just as annoying as you and I.  Who are you to say they can't have the same happiness that you claim to enjoy.  You people sit in your oversized vehicles and kiddie carters and expound on your religion from a safe place, yet I wonder if confronted face to face how you'd react?  I know how you'd react.  I've seen a lot of you and I know you'd have no response, you'd turn and walk away.  From what I remember, Jesus teaches love and compassion for your fellow man, not hate and shunning.  By placing these stickers where all can see, that is the message you are promoting.  Do you think an alternative lifestyle is the reason your kids are so messed up, trashing police cars and doing home invasions in JCP? Ummm, no.  I think video games like Grand Theft Auto and Halo 3 that you buy your kids for the celebration of Christ's birthday is most likely the reason.  So much for peace and kindness.  How would you feel if I expressed my feelings on a bumper sticker?  How 'bout this: "I hate lazy soccer moms and kids"  Would THAT set anyone off?  I think so.  Why?  BECAUSE IT'S OFFENSIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Do us all a favor, keep your snotty opinions off your cars.  Post them here.  That way if anyone sees them, it's because they came here looking for it.  Remember this: you have the right to state your hateful views and opinions, but that doesn't make it right. Believe what you want to believe, but don't push it on me or anyone else who really doesn't care.  Maybe some day you'll meet some one who pushes back, but harder.  A lot harder.  Religion is a choice, but it's not the law. As for all those people who will be telling me I'm going to Hell, I don't care.  I don't care if I offended anyone.  I also don't care about all the self-righteous responses I will get.  The only defense you can make is by quoting the bible.  Sorry, but without confirmation from a back up source, that is inadmissable in a court of law.  Case Closed.  Let me leave you with this thought, all you bible thumpers.  Read 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 [1].  Actually look up the words used.  You will find the meanings will apply to you ALL, I would bet.  If not, join a convent and leave the rest of us alone.
