Bartram Trail Relay for Life Saturday, May 3

From Marci Skinner, (the boxtoplady):

Hello to all,
The Bartram Trail Relay For Life is finally here. NW St. johns County's biggest community event. Our committee has been hard at work for almost a year to make this the best Relay possible. We made almost $170,000 last year for the American Cancer society and we are  going for $200,000 tomorrow.
I want to tell you some of the exciting events we will be having tomorrow at the Bartram Trail track.
The event starts at 12:00 noon and runs till 6:00am Sunday morning.
Our very special guest is Jeanie Blalock and her Buddy Check 12 crew.
There is a huge kids zone with lots of bouncies, face painting, basketball throws and mini lessons from the Bartram Trail Girls Basketball team.

For all of you Star Wars fans we are excited to have the Florida Garrison 501st Legion. ( www.501st.com )  They are a premier imperial costuming organization that does many charitable appearances for free.
We will have 3 sand troopers, an imperial officer, and a storm trooper that will come out to relay from 1-3 pm on Sat the 3rd.
How cool is that? Bring your kids to have a photo taken with them.

The Blood Mobile will be at Relay 1:30 till 7:30.

We are excited to have been chosen as one of the CPS-3 sites.
This year, select Relay events in the country are offering the unique opportunity to FIGHT BACK against cancer through research. Cancer Prevention Study-3 (CPS-3) enrollment will be happening in our community at the Relay For Life of Bartram Trail on May 3 from 1:00pm - 5:00pm. CPS-3 will help researchers at the American Cancer Society and around the world better understand what causes cancer and how to prevent it, and we hope you or those who support you in the crusade against cancer will consider enrolling. Who can enroll? If you are between the ages of 30 - 65, have never been diagnosed with cancer, and are willing to commit to the study long term, we hope you will enroll! (Individuals who choose to enroll do not have to be registered Relay team participants)

So come on out tomorrow to the Bartram Trail Track for a great family experience. All of the teams have been working really hard with their fund raisers.
The boxtoplady will be there the entire time.
visit  www.bartramrelay.com  for more info on The Bartram Trail Relay for life where we raise money for research, celebrate those who have survived cancer and remember those who have lost their battle.
e-u-soon,
marci skinner
