The county school district will hold pre-registration for kindergartners and new students to the county and/or the public school system on April 30 or May 14. Parents must register their children where they have been zoned for 2008-2009 school year. traveling football team
May 3 and 10, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the CVS on 57 Tuscan Way (corner of Route 16 and International Golf Parkway, St. Augustine, sign up for the first St. Johns County Travel Football Team (Wildcats), part of the orange belt federation which plays througout the state and Georgia. The South Hampton Golf Club, 315 S. Hampton Club Way, St. Augustine, will host advanced junior golf camps with instruction by The Golf Academy in June (16-20 and 23-27), July (7-11, 21-25, 28-Aug 1) and August (4-8 and 11-15). Beginning with lunch at 12:30 p.m. in the clubhouse, lessons from 1 to 3:30 p.m., and playing on the course from 3:30 to 5:50 p.m. Cost is $450. Registration is now open for the Bartram Trail Performing Arts Camp for ages six to 14. The theme is Across the Universe and the dates are July 7-11 and 14-18 at Bartram Trail High School, 7399 Longleaf Pine Parkway, St. Johns. Camp activities include dance, musical theatre, acting, hip-hop and much more. Campers receive lunch, two snacks and a camp t-shirt. Days are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Early drop off begins at 8:15 a.m. Cost is $150 for one week, $275 for two weeks and reduced rates for multiple children.
