Watch Golf or Play Golf?
Being that we all live in North Florida I wonder, do people rather play golf or watch golf on TV. Being a golf instructor you would think I'd much rather play golf than watch on TV. For the most part I would rather play golf except when Tiger Woods is playing! This week Tiger Woods will be playing in the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill. Tiger has played in two events on the PGA Tour this year and has won both, he is the leader of the FedEx Cup and if that wasn't enough he is the best player to EVER play the game! We are watching history and as a golf nut I would much rather watch Tiger play golf than play golf myself! So I pose the question to you: Would you rather play golf or watch golf on TV? I would like to be able to play golf at a level that doesn't make other people angry. Until then, I'll watch. |

I'm not a golfer, though everyone else in my family is. I tried it once when I was 12, and I was terrible, and felt it was much more work than it was fun. I tried again a couple of years ago, and it just wasn't for me. However, I've been out to the TPC almost every year for the past twenty years. I love watching the game. Especially on a lazy Sunday afternoon, after all the yardwork is finished. Laying on the couch, with a cold beer in hand, watching an amazing chip shot or a wonderful drive...or watching Phil blow up and lose the lead, only to get it back with a few holes to go. That's a great Sunday in my book.
